Role: We helped Amey coordinate the writing, bid strategy and review process for Amey’s pending HS2 High Voltage Power contract.

Highlight: We worked across two organisations to deliver this complex bid within a tight page count - outcome pending.

Project: Northern & LOROL

Value: £4bn+ | Year: 2015

Role: We supported Arriva on their Northern Rail (£4bn) and London Overground (£2bn) bids.

Highlight: Wining both bids, we provided specialist support for the Performance Plan, Marketing Plan and the Fairs, Ticketing and Revenue Protection Plan for Northern, while co-authoring the high-scoring Operating Staff plan for LOROL.

Project: Wales & Boarders

Value: £4bn+ | Year: 2018

Role: Provided editorial and bid writing strategy for Arriva’s Wales & Cross-Borders bid.

Highlight: This was the first rail franchise to be procured via a competitive dialogue process and the first to integrate the provision of new rail infrastructure alongside rail operations. We focused on quick infrastructure and service wins, revenue growth, rolling stock, and organisational and sustainability plans.

Project: BBC

Role: We scripted a series of innovative stories about explorers for children's broadcast on BBC Bitesize.

Highlight: Our storytelling skills were put to the ultimate test as we faced one of the toughest audiences to captivate. The results speak for themselves - within just one month, our show garnered an incredible 100,000 views.

Project: A303/A358

Role: We provided editorial support for Bouygues’ A303/A358 corridor improvements bid and Snowdonia tunnelling project.

Highlight: As well as overall editing and proofing duties, we built a suite of bespoke case studies on Bouygues’ global tunnelling expertise through interview and transcreation.

Role: We provided wide-ranging strategic, editorial and bid production support for Camelot’s National Lottery re-bid, the largest public procurement contract in UK history.

Highlight: A three-year project with hundreds of stakeholders, we delivered the highest-scoring proposal.

Role: Our very first project as a company, HhM wrote, researched and edited a 180-page book on the history of the World’s Fair – A Vision of Mankind – distributed by DHL at the Shanghai 2010 Expo.

Highlight: The book was remarkably translated into Chinese overnight and had an initial print run of over 1m copies.

Project: Greater Anglia Franchise

Role: We provided editorial support bid support for First Group’s Greater Anglia bid.

Highlight: Working within the commercial team, we wrote the high-scoring fares, revenue management, as-is, passenger charter and community rail partnership sections of the bid from scratch, and edited the marketing plan.

Role: Supported J&J Managed Services team’s winning bid to provide managed elective Orthopaedic Services to Guy’s and St Thomas’s NHS Foundation Trust.

Project: Genomics Medicine Centre

Value: £20m | Year: 2014

Role: We wrote the successful Genomics Medicine Centre bid for Guy’s, who led a consortium of four NHS Trusts, as part of the ground-breaking 100,000 Genomes Project.

Highlight: We compiled responses for an entirely original one-hundred-page ITT in three and a half weeks. We submitted one of the highest-scoring bids.

Highlight: We delivered winning a PQQ and ITT for diabetic retinopathy, mortuary, and radiotherapy services.

Highlight: In addition to a number of successful highway maintenance contracts, we worked on a series of station regeneration programmes at Berkhamsted, Chippenham and Gloucester involving complex civils, M&E, and structural building works in a live railway/congested urban environment.

Role: Qatar Foundation turned to us for our expertise and guidance in developing a comprehensive Safety Management System and suite of company policies and procedures.

Highlight: We worked hand-in-hand with the partner Siemens to create a robust and effective system that not only met, but exceeded the requirements of the MOTC safety certification.

Role: A year-long project helping Optum (a subsidiary of UnitedHealth Group) enter the UK healthcare market.

Highlight: We helped lead significant transformational change in Optum’s bidding operations across healthcare bids in areas such as Cancer Care, Improving Lives and End of Life.

Project: Public relations

Role: HhM were brought in to help shape public perception of Vodafone as a leader in technology innovation, editing a dynamic weekly newsletter on the lastest breakthroughs in the telecommunications industry.

Highlight: We negotiated circulation deals with all major broadsheets, ensuring that our newsletter reached an estimated 400,000 homes each week.

Project: PR and comms

Value: £2m | Year: 2008-14

Role: For six years, we provided PR and comms advice for Volkswagen, producing the English language version of Volkswagen’s ViaVision newsletter.

Highlight: We also authored a 200-page VW guidebook to London and the Olympics in 2012 - a wry, witty look at the city’s literary and media underbelly distributed to 30,000 journalists attending the 2012 Games.

Project: Network Rail’s Design Services Framework

Role: We helped WSP secure their place on Network Rail’s Design Services Framework for multi-disciplinary contracts on a national basis, as well as single discipline contracts for Electrification & Plant (North West & Scotland and South East) and Civils & Structural (South West).
